SERVICEWIDE LAWS AND POLICIES - Archeological Resources

Current laws and policies require that the following conditions be achieved for archeological resources in the park:
   

Desired Condition

Archeological sites are identified and inventoried, and their significance is determined and documented. Archeological sites are protected in an undisturbed condition unless it is determined through formal processes that disturbance or natural deterioration is unavoidable. In those cases where disturbance or deterioration is unavoidable, the site is professionally documented and salvaged.
